Waas Construction Company, Inc. is a Florida State Licensed General Contractor, spanning two generations. Waas’ goal is to have a “Better and Stronger Relationship After the Project than Before” by truly living by it’s motto, “Excellence with Integrity Since 1973”
Former President, Richard Waas, founded Waas Construction with a dedication to quality, schedule and costs and to tailor each project with a focus on the Client’s needs and a culture of integrity and openness.
Waas focuses on Commercial Construction, including Hospitality, Retail, Interiors, Medical, Office, Industrial, and Religious Construction.
Meet The Team
Alaina Waas
President
Alaina Waas, Richard and Shara’s daughter, is the President of Waas Construction and has been an important part of the team since joining the company in 2004. Alaina graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management and is a Florida State Licensed General Contractor. Alaina is Waas’ Chief Estimator and Senior Project Manager and has become a specialist in Medical Construction.
Shara Waas
Vice President
Shara Waas is the Vice President and Co-Owner of Waas Construction since 1976. Shara oversees all Accounts Payable and Receivables for Waas. Shara has also been involved in the construction industry as a member of the Associated Builders and Contractors as well as the Industrial Association of Dade County. She has dedicated her adult life to the construction industry as she worked for one of the largest construction suppliers in Miami where she met her husband, Richard. Shara and Richard have 2 children, Brandon, an attorney and Alaina.
Richard Waas
Secretary | Treasurer
Richard Waas is the founder, Secretary and Treasurer of Waas Construction, which was incorporated in 1973. Richard is a Florida State Licensed General Contractor and has dedicated his career to the construction industry. He is past President of the Gold Coast Chapter and State Association of the Associated Builders and Contractors as well as a National Vice President for ABC. He was a founding member and Past President of the Industrial Association of Dade County. Richard is a licensed OSHA trainer and has served on many advisory boards for the Miami-Dade County Building and Zoning Departments. Richard also is an expert witness and has testified in court on many construction related issues.
